My Story

None of us should have to face the crippling pain of endometriosis alone, I did, and it changed my life.

Misunderstood, misdiagnosed and missing our care-free days.

From 16 years old, I started going to the doctor to complain about period problems. For the next 10 years, I went back and forth to the GP and gynaecologist. I struggled with my university studies, often took days off work sick and ended many shifts in A&E in agonising pain. I was prescribed meds after meds each month, with no improvement.

I tried to carry on enjoying my life but as the pain got worse and worse, I could not do the things I would usually do, I lost my job, and fell into depression. Frustrated and disappointed, still with no diagnosis, I was hopeless and helpless.

In 2009 I was finally given a diagnosis of endometriosis, there was relief that an actual condition was recognised, followed by grief. The disease was advanced and the doctors were not hopeful, I was offered a hysterectomy which I declined, the other options were surgery and hormonal medications. I tried both of these options but the endometriosis was unrelenting.

I was miserable, in pain every waking moment, I was unable to work and had lost my independence, always exhausted but I busied myself to take my mind off my health making my health worse.

I missed my old life, having fun, working, going on holidays, no cares in the world. So many nights I would pray to be well again and cry myself to sleep.

I was introduced to holistic healing as a way to help manage my health and my life took an upwards turn, and I had a different understanding of wellness. Then I focused on alternative therapies, and this is where I reclaimed and rebuilt my life.

My dramatic transformation is almost unbelievable. From disablement and not being able to help myself, low energy constant worry, and feeling drugged up to my eyeballs, failing surgeries and constant worry, to where I am now!

PAIN-FREE PERIODS, restored fertility, hopeful, in control of my health, and running my business that helps women gain back freedom from womb worries. I have overcome endometriosis, fibroids, cysts and this is my calling to support others to do the same.

As dark as the past was, I am grateful for the test, without it I wouldn’t be Holistic Habibah! It’s a blessing to provide non-judgemental space and effective services and safe products that foster femininity and highlight self-care.

I inspire women and offer sisterhood and understanding, because there is always light at the end of the tunnel if you know how to find it.

My Approach

I reconnected with my core needs; spiritual, emotional and physical ease and that is how my healing journey began. In order for us to be in a state of wellness, we need wellness on a holistic spectrum, when the conditions are met, the flowers will bloom.

As a self-care advocate, I am insistent that we must take our health into our own hands.

The food we eat is a fundamental part of our wellness as all the cells in our body are produced from what we feed ourselves.

There is truth in the saying “you are what you eat”!

Habits need to be adjusted to an environment that promotes healing, and where disease cannot thrive.

I am here to support women to make the right choices to have healthier lifestyles.
