How to use Yoni Steam Herbs

8 May, 2020

How much yoni steam herbs do you need per session? That’s a good question, because a few times, sisters have told me they put the full packet in for one session. That’s ways too much, and you simply don’t need to use that much.

I cannot speak for other brands, but with my Holistic Habibah Yoni Steam Herbs, full instructions are on the packet. And typically it will be 2 tablespoons per steam, and about 1 litre of water.

Can you reuse yoni herbs?

Yes, you can. In order to reuse your herbs, you need to remove them from the water before you sit over them. So brewing the herbs in a piece of cloth or tea ball is a good idea. You could even use a sieve.

You want to store the herbs in the fridge between uses, and you can use them one more time within 2 days. More than 2 uses greatly reduces their strength in the brew.

Best pan to use for yoni herbs?

There are a few different types of pans to use, but let me tell you straight up DO NOT USE PLASTIC. The best would be stainless steel, glass, or ceramic pot, with a lid ideally so you can capture the steam and therapeutic benefits from the herbs.

Depending on how you will steam you will need to consider the size of your pot, I recommend around 16inch diameter if you are going to use a yoni steam stool. If you are going to kneel over the pot you might choose a stainless steel pot or bowl.

How do you prepare the yoni herbs?

Yep, you do need to boil them, on the cooker or a hob of some type. If you are using a stool, I recommend a burner. This helps to keep the water hot for longer than 10 minutes and is suitable for an advanced steam setup.

Put the herbs and the water in the pan and bring it to a boil, then let it simmer for 5-10 minutes whilst you set up your relaxation area with maybe a book and dim lighting.

Book a yoni steam consultation to find out when is the most ideal time for you to steam. This is most suited to complex issues, such as steaming for fertility or to address endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, and yoni steaming for labour prep.

I hope this was helpful. Let me know what you think in the comments or send me a whatsApp.
